Hoot, toot, and a skipity skoot. Who’s looking at me with those pretty eyes?

Up from my den with a yip and a yap. Wake up, wake up, it’s not time to nap.

Thunder steps, trumpet blasts, ivory tusks, hide at last. Peekaboo, I see you.

Racing and swimming and turt turt turt turteling. Oh no, there’s sand in my shell.

Swing up and swing right, swing with my tail and all of my might. Woohoo.

Geronimo, Jericho, gypsum and timber. High in the sky is my neck that’s not limber.

Fishing, scratching, hunting fast mice in action. Purring all day brings such satisfaction.

Flip and a flop, and a flappity flap. Diving, braying, and escaping the trap.

Beware of my growl, my roar, and my might. Climbing tall trees is perfectly right.

Duck under the fence, visit your neighbor. Quick, quack, and back home at last.

Stirrup, gallop, race ‘round the ranch. Jump, buck, neigh, horseshoes and hay.

Deserts, burrows, woodlands, and hollows. Hop in the sky, and sing like a swallow.

Roaring and racing, and chasing hyenas. Dancing and prancing, but not ballerinas.

In the depths of the ocean, quietly gliding, chasing their prey despite the motion.

G’day mate, hi there, hello. Eucalyptus is my favorite homemade-marmalade jello.

Catching flies in the sun is all that I ask for. Hurry, leave, it’s time that I bask more.

Deer diary: so much snow in the hills and antler tree-striking thrills. Snort snort.

Stump, rump, jump and a shutter. Float, fly, and soar with a flutter.

Bamboo, shampoo, clickety hullabaloo. High in treetops is better than any zoo.

Wag, bark, run fast past the mark. Hide, seek, retrieve sticks all the week.

Chirp, trill, squawk till you drop. Whistle, sing, soar mighty wings.

Leap, dive, hold my breath a long time. Splash, whistle, and speak in a rhyme.

Wolves, packs, growling and howling. Moonlight, forests, and wintery mountains.

The End
